Saas Fee is situated at the head of the Saas valley in the south of Switzerland, on the border with Italy. It nestles among eight of the highest peaks in Switzerland. Saas Fee is readily accessible by road from Geneva (2.5 hrs), Zurich (3.5 hrs) and Milan (3 hrs). As an alternative to driving, an efficient rail service operates to Visp from whence the Postbus takes 40 mins to the centre of Saas Fee. There are excellent taxi serices throughout the Saas valley and from all major airports.
 
The Saas valley enjoys a mild, evenly-balanced climate, despite its high altitude, as indicated by the unusually high tree-line and the rich and colourful alpine flora. Visitors can enjoy around 300 days of sunshine a year.
